Luxury villas in Dalyan Turkey
Villa Meltem are 2 beautiful villas in Dalyan, Turkey. They are perfect for 2 families wishing to holiday together or work equally well when rented independantly. Each detached villa sleeps 7 in 1 king size, 1 twin and the third bed room having 3 singles in Meltem 1 and 1 double and 1 single in Meltem 2. All bed rooms have en suite facilities. balconies lead fom the master and twin bed rooms, all bed rooms are air conditioned. The large open plan kitchen and lounge area are tastefully furnished and well equipped. With granite work tops in the kitchen and comfortable sofas in the lounge, with an open fire place enables villa meltem to be suitable for cooler months. There is also a downstairs toilet and wet room. The pool is very large being 86 square metres, there is also an integrated baby pool. A small complementary bar between the two villas allows a place to enjoy a drink at your own bar, you are welcome to restock the fridge if you find you have emptied it. there is also a kirsch (raised wooden platform) with soft cushions for enjoying that early evening drink.

Location
Villa Meltem are situated less than 10 minutes walk (500m) from the centre of Dalyan yet are surrounded by beautiful open countryside and stunning mountain views. They have been well designed to allow a wonderful breeze that continues from midday to early evening between the villas and through the downstairs of the ground floor of the villas when both the French doors leading to the large terrace and the rear door s are left open. The name Meltem means 'breeze'.

Things To Do.
A car is not necessary in Dalyan, as we can arrange taxi pick up from the airport which is only 20 minutes away. Dalyan lies on the Dalaman river wth the 3000B.C. Lycian Rock Tombs over looking the village. Behind the rock tombs lies the ancient city of Caunos, where the views of the delta and out to sea from the amphitheatre are stunning. Visit the fresh water lake whre you can experience the healing properties of the thermal springs and mud baths. Take your own boat or taxi boat down to Iztuzu beach, an undeveloped 8km beach, protected from development by David Belemy in the 1990s as the loggerhead sea turtles last nesting sites. You can be completely alone, even in august. For the more active try white water rafting, micro lighting, horse ridding, canoeing or jeep safari. Alternatvely relax on a boat exploring the many deserted coves and beaches along the coastline or visit the exclusive harbour town of gocek and spend a day on the beautiful 12 islands tour aboard a gulet.

There is room for 14 in the living room and 14 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

We would all like to say how very much we enjoyed our stay in Turkey. Your villa was wonderful and such generous equipment in the kitchen especially. The views and surroundings were perfect and with 6 teenagers, they had such freedom to wander as they wished and we all felt they were quite safe.

Di was a great help to us and gave good information re boat trips, both up and down river, coast boat trip, buses and generally info on the town, shopping and restaurants. We all thought the Tree House great fun especially with 12 as we were able to have it to ourselves.

We saw lovely sites on the river, turtles, kingfishers, buzzards, heron, egrets/white cormorants and many others that we could not name (perhaps it would be helpful to have a list of all that might be seen left in the villas for future guests.)

We did brave the pool on quite a few occasions but diving in was about the only way we could achieve this!! Not for the fainthearted.

We were extremely luck with the weather, with not a cloud in the sky all week - however we did end with tremendous winds our last night. Quite exciting but very noisy.
